Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Game's Glavenus Trailer, Dev Diary Videos Streamed

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Expansion launches on September 6

The official YouTube channel for Capcom's Monster Hunter franchise began streaming a new trailer and a developer diary on Thursday for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the upcoming new expansion for the Monster Hunter World game.

The first video below previews the Glavenus monster as well as a new gathering hub, and teases a possible appearance of Brachydios in the game.

The 20-minute developer diary also shows the same trailer and gives more information about each new aspect revealed in the video.

The expansion will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6. A PC release will follow this winter. The expansion will feature a new story that begins after the events of the main game, as well as new quest ranks, locales, monsters, moves, and equipment.

Monster Hunter World launched worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in January 2018, and shipped 5 million copies worldwide (including digital sales) in its first three days to set a new franchise record. Capcom then launched the game for PC last August. The game has shipped 12 million copies worldwide as of May 10. The Monster Hunter series has cumulatively shipped 54 million copies worldwide as of March 31.
