Rose City Comic Con Announces Animebashi Powered by Tokyo Otaku Mode

First Details For Anime Feature Inside Portland's Comic Con

Portland, OR (March 31, 2018) - Portland's Rose City Comic Con (RCCC) today announced the launch of Animebashi powered by Tokyo Otaku Mode - an exciting new feature inside this year's RCCC on Sept. 7-9, 2018 in the Oregon Convention Center. Animebashi powered by Tokyo Otaku Mode is part of RCCC, and RCCC admission includes access to this new hub highlighting Japanese pop culture guests, activities, exhibits, and special events. Animebashi's first announcements include voice actors Max Mittelman, Lex Lang, Ray Chase, Robbie Daymond, and Sandy Fox, and the official Pacific Northwest stop of the Dragon Ball North America Tour.

Rose City Comic Con, launched in 2012, draws 70,000 fans from throughout Portland, Seattle, and as far away as Vancouver and California. It's been home to guests including Carrie Fisher, William Shatner, Peter Capaldi, Felicia Day, Matt Fraction, Kelly Sue DeConnick, and Brian Michael Bendis and showcased publishers such as Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics, Skybound, Valiant, IDW, and BOOM.

One of the fastest growing pop culture events in the US, RCCC features a wealth of comic book, television, and movie guests, features, and exhibits, and with the launch of Animebashi powered by Tokyo Otaku Mode, RCCC will now welcome the worlds of anime and manga.

“Every year, fans ask us for anime and manga guests and events,” said Ron Brister, founder of Rose City Comic Con. “We're listening and are excited to give our community three full days of unique anime guests and special events as part of RCCC this year. Bashi is a Japanese word for bridge, and we look for Animebashi to be our bridge to Japan!”

Animebashi is created in partnership with Anime NYC powered by Crunchyroll, RCCC's sister show in New York, NY. Anime NYC, which takes place each November, is New York City's largest anime convention, and the Anime NYC team will work with RCCC to build Animebashi into an exciting, authentic experience for all participants.

Numerous guest and special event announcements will be made throughout the summer, with Animebashi powered by Tokyo Otaku Mode kicking off with a bevy of news:
