This year's 44th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that Bandai Namco Entertainment's My Hero One's Justice (My Hero Academia: One's Justice) game is getting a sequel titled My Hero Academia: One's Justice 2. The battle action game will launch for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in Japan (the Xbox One version in Japan will be digital only). The magazine did not reveal a release period.

The magazine also confirmed that Izuku Midoriya and Kai Chisaki (Overhaul) will both appear in the game as playable characters.

The original game shipped for the Switch and PS4 in Japan in August 2018, and then launched for the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC in Europe and the Americas in October 2018.

The game launched with original 20 playable characters, including: Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugō, All Might, Tomura Shigaraki, Ochaco Uraraka, Tenya Iida, Shōto Todoroki, Momo Yaoyorozu, Denki Kaminari, Tsuyu Asui, Stain, Shōta Aizawa, Fumikage Tokoyami, Kyōka Jirō, Eijirō Kirishima, himiko Toga, Dabi, Gran Torino, Muscular, and All For One.

Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga previously inspired the My Hero Academia: Battle for All Nintendo 3DS game in May 2016, and the My Hero Academia: Gekitotsu! Heroes Battle arcade card game with accompanying smartphone game, which launched in April 2016. Additionally, the My Hero Academia: Smash Tap smartphone game launched in 2017.
