Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain PS4 Game Launches in Japan on April 11

Game slated for Western release in 2019
Sony began streaming the second trailer on Thursday for D3 Publisher Inc.'s Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain PlayStation 4 game. The trailer is the same as a trailer streamed in September, but reveals at the end that the game's new release date in Japan is April 11. The game was originally slated for this year in Japan before being delayed to a general 2019 release window.
D3 Publisher will release the game in the West in 2019. The company describes the game:
The EDF series moves away from its traditional series and into new territory with this new project. Developed by YUKE'S, with a theme song by Takashi Niigaki and creatures designed by Ryu Oyama for an EDF game that has never been seen before. Welcome to Earth Defense Force: Iron Rain. Set on planet Earth devastated by war, this new adventure joins the EDF as they continue to battle to save the world.
D3 publisher released the Earth Defense Force 5 PlayStation 4 game in the West on December 11. The game launched in Japan in December 2017.
