NIS America to Release RPG Maker MV Game on Switch, PS4, Xbox One on February 26

Game creator software will launch in Japan on November 15

NIS America announced on Saturday at the PAX West event that it will release the RPG Maker MV game for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 26. NIS America is releasing the game in partnership with Kadokawa Corporation.

NISA describes the game and the story:

Like its predecessors, RPG Maker MV allows aspiring game developers and storytellers to craft their very own video games. With a large variety of assets and customization options, RPG Maker MV is the most powerful game development software for creative minds everywhere!

An epic journey begins.... with YOU! Become a master game developer with RPG Maker MV. With an assortment of tools at your fingertips, create elaborate, exciting, and memorable video games stragith from your console! Then, share your epic adventures online with other players! The possibilities are endless with the latest and greatest RPG Maker software.

The game will have in-game audio in English and Japanese, and in-game text in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. NIS America will also release the RPG Maker MV Player app as a free download at launch. The app allows players to play games that other players created.

The game will launch in Japan for the same three consoles on November 15 under the title RPG Tkool MV Trinity. Kadokawa released the game on the PC via Steam in English in October 2015, and later released it for PC in Japan in December 2015.

The Overlord III anime recently inspired a free game developed with RPG Maker MV.

NISA previously released the RPG Maker Fes Nintendo 3DS game in North America and Europe in June 2017. Kadokawa Games originally released that game in Japan in November 2016.
