posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
iOS, Android, Windows 10 game launches on Friday

Square Enix began streaming a launch trailer on Friday for the Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition game. The game launched on iOS on Friday. The game's Google Play page lists that it was last updated on Wednesday. Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition is also available for Windows 10.

The game is compatible with iPhone6s (ninth-generation) or later, iPad Pro, iPad (fifth-generation or later), iPad Air2 (second-generation or later), and iPad mini4 (fourth-generation or later) devices with iOS 11.1 installed. On Android, the game is compatible with Android devices with Android 5.0 or later installed.

The game's first chapter is free to play, and players can buy the other nine chapter separately, or all together for US$19.99.

The game was originally slated for release last fall. The game is a smartphone version of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV game with a different graphic style and gameplay, but it contains the same story as the original game.

Final Fantasy XV went on sale worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2016.
