Game slated for fall in Japan, early 2018 in the West

Square Enix's Tokyo RPG Factory subsidiary (I Am Setsuna) announced a game titled Lost Sphear on Tuesday. The game is slated for fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan and for the same systems in early 2018 in Europe and North America, where it will also get a PC release via Steam.

Tokyo RPG Factory teased the project on Monday. The developer describes the game as the second installment for "Project Setsuna" after I Am Setsuna. The website's description of the game is as follows:

The next evolution in this new golden age of JRPG's arrives with LOST SPHEAR, bringing a fresh take on classic RPG gameplay! A young man, who suffered a phenomenon that he had never seen, faces an ominous power that threatens the fabric of reality. Awaken the power of Memory to restore what was lost! Muster different Memory and craft the world around you in a journey to save the world.

The game will have a physical release for PS4 and Switch in the West. The Square Enix Store is offering two soundtracks from composer Tomoki Miyoshi as a preorder bonus for the game.

I Am Setsuna shipped in February 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan, and last July for the PS4 and PC in the West. The game also received a Switch version in Japan that launched alongside the console on March 3.
