RPG's 1st copies include Dark Enoch DLC

The full website for Kadokawa Games' "mythical concept" role-playing game The Lost Child opened on Monday and began streaming the game's debut trailer. The video reveals that the game will ship for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Japan on August 24.

The game will cost 6,800 yen (about US$61), and the first copies will include Dark Enoch Enoch Demon Ver. DLC. The character will only be available with the first copies of the game.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron director and character designer Sawaki Takeyasu is helming the project. The upcoming game's story is connected to El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, and Lucifel appeared in the previous game.

The game's story begins when magazine writer Hayato Ibuki is investigating the story of a person who committed suicide by jumping in front of a train in Tokyo's Shinjuku Station. A mysterious dark figure pushes him onto the tracks, and another mysterious and beautiful woman named Barcia rescues him. Barcia gives Hayato a case, which he discovers is a Pandora's Box that should not have been opened. In the case is the demon weapon Gungaur, and Hayato uses it to capture and control fallen angels and demons. A woman who calls herself an angel joins Hayato, and they uncover various mysteries together.

Hayato faces various forms of evil creatures known as "Astral Bodies." In the adventure part of the game, Hayato visits locations to collect information before heading into dungeons to face enemies.

Takeyasu revealed on May 13 that he would announce a "major" title within the next two weeks. He announced the new title as a "new myth plan."

Kadokawa Games filed trademarks for "The Lost Child" in the United States and Japan in March and May, respectively.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron first shipped for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Japan in April 2011, followed by a North American release in August 2011 and a European release in September 2011. The El Shaddai Social Battle game for Android devices launched in 2012. Takeyasu acquired all intellectual property rights for the game from Ignition Entertainment in May 2013, and the El Shaddai Coin&Epic Android and iOS game launched in August 2013.
