PS4 Save Editor Software Allows Editing of Game Save Files

Users can gain max stats, items in over 80 games

Japanese company Cyber Gadget will release the Save Editor PC software on March 6 that will allow users to edit save files for PlayStation 4 games.

The software will use "patch codes" to edit save files. Users will be able to immediately get the highest stats on characters in games or obtain certain items. The software will include patch codes for 80 PS4 titles, and Cyber Gadget will periodically add patch codes for new games for free.

Users will install the software on their PCs and transfer PS4 save files onto USB storage devices. Then users will be able to edit the files on their computers and transfer them back to the PS4.

A one-user license for the software costs 7,800 yen (about US$69), and a three-user license costs 14,800 yen (about US$131). Both versions reached the top two spots in the Amazon Japan's popularity rankings as of Sunday.
