The Pokémon Company International YouTube channel began streaming a trailer on Monday for its upcoming Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon games.
The trailer introduces exclusive Z-Moves for the three fully evolved starter Pokémon. The trailer also officially unveils the Alola region Diglett and Dugtrio, as well as two new Ultra Beasts: UB-03 Lighting and UB-05 Glutton. Finally, the trailer notes that players will be able to receive the Pokémon Magearna as an in-game gift with a QR code, though the website has not yet posted details.
The Japanese trailer reveals the same Z-Moves and new monsters with some different footage:
The games will debut in Japan and North America this Friday, November 18, followed by Europe on November 23. They are Nintendo's best pre-selling games in the company's history, and the "Special Demo Versin" is the most downloaded demo in the Nintendo 3DS eShop's history.
The three Starter Pokémon (pictured below) are: the Grass-type Rowlet (Mokuroh in Japan), the Fire-type Litten (Nyabby), and the Water-type Popplio (Ashimari).
The games' new Legendary Pokémon include Solgaleo and Lunala (pictured below):
The games will be available on the Nintendo 3DS worldwide in Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, and — unlike in the previous generation — Chinese (Traditional and Simplified). Players can choose their preferred language when they launch each game. The two versions will be set 12 hours apart.
