Nioh PS4 Game Gets New Trailer, 2nd Demo in August

The official website of Koei Tecmo Games' upcoming Nioh "dark warring-states action RPG" began streaming a new trailer for the game on Wednesday. The trailer reveals new monsters that will appear in the game.
In addition, Koei Tecmo Games announced that the game will get a second downloadable demo for the PlayStation 4 in August. The game's first demo launched on April 26, and more than 850,000 players downloaded it.
The game is slated to ship in Japan and the West this year. Team Ninja (Dead or Alive series, Dissidia Final Fantasy arcade) is developing the game.
New artist Yōsuke Katayama launched a manga adaptation of the game (see right) in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on May 9.
The game follows William, a blond-haired, blue-eyed samurai who arrived in Japan during the Age of Warring States, when the land was beset with supernatural entities.
Koei Tecmo Games' general producer Kou Shibusawa is working on the game. Before it merged with Tecmo, KOEI had previously announced the game, then Romanized as Ni-Oh, as a PlayStation 3 release in 2004. At the time, it was based on concepts from the late acclaimed film director Akira Kurosawa (The Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Ran).
