The February 2016 issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Gundam Ace magazine published a prologue for a new manga titled Gundam Build Fighters AR (Gundam Build Fighters Amazing Ready) on Saturday. The full manga will begin in the next issue on January 26.
The new series is a sequel to the earlier Gundam Build Fighters A (Gundam Build Fighters Amazing) manga. Both manga star the character Tatsuya Yūki, a character from the anime. Kiyoshi Konoyo is again drawing the series off a scenario by Tomohiro Chiba.
Gundam Build Fighters A also ran in Monthly Gundam Ace, and Kadokawa published the fifth and final compiled volume in November. Gundam Build Fighters has inspired two other spinoff manga: Gundam Build Fighters D (Gundam Build Fighters Document) in Kadokawa's Dengeki Hobby Magazine and Gundam Build Fighters Honoo Tri in Kadokawa's Monthly Hobby magazine.
The first Gundam Build Fighters anime series aired from October 2013 to March 2014. Gundam Build Fighters Try aired from October 2014 to April 2015. Gundam.info streamed both series with English subtitles as they aired in Japan. Sunrise plans to release the series on DVD in the west.
