New visual for December 17 PS4/PS3 game's story mode also unveiled

This year's 45th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Bandai Namco Entertainment's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven fighting game will have an original character. The magazine shows the character's silhouette, and describes the character as having long hair and wearing a white coat, and having a connection to "Heaven." The magazine will reveal more details on the character in future issues.

The magazine is also unveiling a new visual for the game's story mode, and reveals some screenshots from the game's story. The story mode will feature characters from all eight parts of the manga jumbled together in an original story that manga creator Hirohiko Araki supervised himself. The story will open with Jotaro and Dio's fight. The scan also shows a screenshot of both the young and old Joseph Joestar together in one scene, and another screenshot of Jotaro and Giorno standing together.

Sony will release a themed PlayStation 4 console for the game. Those interested can pre-order the console starting in October from the Sony Store website. The PS4 will come in either Jet Black or Glacier White colors, and the HDD bay cover will feature one of three different designs featuring Dio, Jotaro Kujo, or a gathering of various characters. The bundle will include the PS4 game with the first-edition bonus extra (Part IV Jotaro Kujo as a playable character).

Hiroshi Matsuyama returns as director at CyberConnect2, Kenei Nakasha is designing the game, and Chikayo Fukuda is composing the music. Bandai Namco Entertainment made changes to the game to increase its quality based on feedback from those who played the demo that the company released last December. Changes include a "Dual Combo" where players can use an assist character to unleash a combo attack, and improvements to the gauges and battle tempo.

The game will ship for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on December 17 in Japan.

The JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle PS3 fighting game arrived in Japan in 2013 and later arrived in the United States in April 2014. CyberConnect2 developed the game for Namco Bandai Games, with Hiroshi Matsuyama directing. The fighting game featured characters from all eight parts of Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series.
