Evangelion XR Roller Coaster Returns to USJ This Summer
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Universal Studios Japan will bring back last year's Evangelion XR roller coaster this summer, giving fans another chance to survive a 360-degree Angel attack. The park will open the ride, currently skinned as a Final Fantasy attraction, starting on July 6.
The ride is said to be same as the one from the previous Cool Japan campaign. It was a big hit with riders and earned a 99% satisfaction rating. The ride's line queue will be able to play a free game "MAGI Mobile" that challenges players to defend the supercomputer from a cyber attack. Last year's Evangelion popcorn bucket, photo ops, and other goods will also be available again.

The "Evangelion XR Ride" is the park's third Evangelion-themed attraction after the "Evangelion the Real 4D" in 2015, and "Evangelion the Real 4D: 2.0" in 2016.
Universal Studio's Japan current Cool Japan campaign line-up includes Sailor Moon: The Miracle 4D, Detective Conan, Final Fantasy, and Monster Hunter for a fun-filled experience.
