Find Your Soulmate At the Evangelion Store's Matchmaking Event

There are many things that the Evangelion franchise is full of, such as religious symbolism, angsty teenage backstories, and terrible parenting examples. But among all of that, perhaps one of the most prevalent aspects of the series is the romantic tension that exists between just about every character. In the spirit of building bonds between fellow humans, romantic or otherwise, an official Evangelion group dating mixer, dubbed "Eva-Con" is to be held this month.
The event, which is in commemoration of the three year anniversary of the EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01's opening, is the 18th meet-up of its kind, with previous meet-ups having been held in locations such as Shibuya and Fukuoka. Eva-Con is dedicated to the idea of helping fans of Evangelion find love, or at least deep friendship, among individuals that share their passion for the Evangelion franchise.
With the common link of Evangelion, attendees will find that their AT Fields will quickly melt away. Add in the various Evangelion related entertainment from the various local MCs to be in attendance, as well as the presence of delicious food and drinks, and you might just find someone to help you get through the Second Impact.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Ikebukuro train station on November 23 from 2:00PM to 5:00PM. Tickets for the event will cost 3,900 yen for women (about US $34) and 5,900 yen for men (about US $51.44). Participants must be at least 20 years of age to take part in the event.
