IA/VT -Colorful- PS Vita Rhythm Game Has English Menu Text

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

Marvelous Entertainment's IA/VT -Colorful- PS Vita music game contains English text in its menus and interface. Menu choices, difficulty selections, and some song titles are also written in English. The player's results after playing a song are also written in English.

IA/VT -Colorful- producer Kenichirō Takaki previously stated in an interview with video game news website Siliconera in June that there would be difficulties in releasing the game overseas, citing the difficulty of the rights approval process due to the game being a music game. In the interview, Takaki said that Western players who wished to play the game would have to import it.

Takaki also serves as the original creator and the producer for the Senran Kagura video game franchise.

Marvelous Entertainment released the IA/VT -Colorful- (Ia Visual Tracks Colorful) PlayStation Vita game in Japan on July 30. The game centers around the virtual diva "Ia" and features more than 60 songs from popular Vocaloid music composers. The game also includes original animated music videos for some songs including "Overslept," "Children Record," "Crystal Prism," "Ayano no Koufuku Riron," "Lost Time Memory," "Headphone Actor," "Love Sagittarius," and "Pageant." Players can choose to play with an original music video, a music video that has been featured on a video website, or a colorful stage in the background. The game also has the option to dress up Ia in a variety of outfits when playing on the stage.

The game retailed for 4,800 yen (about US$39), and the limited edition retailed for 9,240 yen (about US$75). The limited edition "Crystal BOX" featured a pouch, a PS Vita skin sticker, decorative stickers, a cleaner cloth, a strap, a charm strap, and a card case.
