Ninja Slayer Anime Streamed 1 Million Times From Niconico Alone

The first episode of Studio Trigger's Ninja Slayer from Animation net anime series received more than 1 million views in its first week on the Niconico website.
The anime series premiered on the Japanese streaming website Niconico on April 16 at 11:00 p.m. JST. The series is slated to air on television in Japan in 2016.
Funimation is streaming the series in the United States, and will also release the series on home video.
The series is also available online in Japan through Niconico Live Ginza, D Anime Store, Anime Pass, Gyao!, Hikari TV, DMM.com, the PlayStation Store, Bandai Channel, Rakuten Showtime, and Video Market.
The second episode will premiere at 11:00 p.m. JST on Thursday with a new ending theme song by Melt-Banana titled "Halo of Sorrow From Animation."
In comparison, the Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold anime series has been streamed more than 2 million times in the 10 days between its April 11 debut and April 20. It has been streaming in 222 countries and territories globally.
