The JP cast is the same so I guess it might be some kind of money/Union issue on the English side to recast everyone? I play in JP myself but it's a shame for those who like the original voices.
Overall, interesting looking but a bit mixed for me. Apparently it won't have FES content which is a bummer. I wouldn't mind them fleshing the game out more like adding in party member social links beyond the girls so it's more like Persona 4 and 5. And updating Tartarus to be more interesting and changing or removing the fatigue mechanic. But if it's just more like a remaster then I suppose it's fine and would alleviate my issue with them using Portable as the base for the previous remaster. But it still might mean FES is still the definition edition to play. |

Find it *very* funny that the fanbase has been constantly pleading for a definitive edition for years and years, one that combines everything from 3, FES, and Portable... and Atlus decides to specifically only remake the base 3 content. Almost have to respect the hustle, ha ha. Have to keep the option available for a Royale version in a few years.

It's not a 1:1 remake since there were already a couple things in the trailer that were completely new, so it's plausible they could add things like Aigis social link or other misc additions from P3P/FES. I'm sure 99% of the reason they phrase it that was is to tell people not to expect FemC or The Answer which is unfortunate since that's kinda what people wanted...

Given this is Atlus, give it a year or two for extra stuffs and story added into the game and sell it as a full game like what P5R is.

Ah yes, what everybody always wanted. A remake of the original P3 and not one of the two versions with objectively more content in them. I'm so glad that Atlus really understands what their fanbase craves

It's reassuring to know that no matter how many turns the world takes, Atlus will always find a way to dampen their own hype. Not having the "definitive" edition people have been asking for all these years and instead focusing on "recreating the original persona 3 experience" (that no one asked for) is truly peak Atlus, tough I'm hoping the new additions will at least split the difference somewhat. If it turns out to be basically P3 with prettier graphics and a non-obtuse fighting system, I'll probably wait for the inevitable re-release.

Portable cut out the animated cutscenes, reduced the exploration of the overworld to a point & click setup, and doesn’t have any of the post game content from FES. So I wouldn’t say that version has objectively more content .
Pretty sure there were people who didn’t mind which version of 3 they got in remake form so long as they got it (having said that though The Answer is apparently divisive amongst fans for some reason). And truthfully depending on what they do or don’t do with the Remake overall that’ll make the Portable remaster look even more superfluous. |

just use mods to restore the cut content from P3P.geez, and the best order is to play P3P later on. not as a first, this way you get to experience all the extra content.
the answer is divisive because door-kun is door-kun but it's still extra content nonetheless. no one was asking for a base P3 remake except like 4 guys out there. the P3 remaster wasn't a remaster, that was just a marketing scam. it was just a port. it's like calling the P4 pc port a ''remaster''. it's just a port. atlus fuc*ed up, probably deliberately,* to release a royal/golden version with extra content later on. atlus be atlus |

Well, there was a porting of P3P. With that said, we are going to end up with an amusing situation where, in the near future, people will want a Persona 3 with the features of Portable, FES AND THIS ONE! |

I mean "don't mind" is relative. Some might have the "better than nothing" mindset, but I think everyone would prefer if they actually did remake all content that was present in the previous versions of the game and use that as the base from which to improve from. Even if you don't care about the Answer/FeMC route, you can just not play them. I don't think many people were actually expecting them to go all the way back to OG Persona 3 as their starting point and the discussion in the community has definitely dampened somewhat since the announcement. The Answer is divisive mainly because it's very grindy and while it does serve as a decent epilogue to the story (even if it wasn't strictly necessary), it's really not worth playing through - personally I just watched a YT video of it, cut like a movie of sorts. We know we'll be getting at least some new content (we see some type of cooking in the trailer, that wasn't in the original) so What I'm hoping for is that the Answer won't be in the game because it'll be reworked and better integrated into the main game as a final Dungeon. As for Portable being superfluous, well it's certainly not since Reloaded isn't touching the FeMC route - which honestly has better Slinks across the board. If anything, it'll be the only one people will still be playing after the remake releases. |

As divisive as The Answer is, it not only extra content, but the events of that part have had a huge effect on the P3 cast's future appearances. I guess I was naive because the FemC route was the one I went "Oh yeah, that's definitely going to be in a remake. Why wouldn't they put that in there?" I had to much faith in Atlus, I guess. Crazy because Portable is the most accessible version of the game. So now P3 once again will have no definitive way to play the game's content.

Well, guess this'll be yet other remake we can toss into the pile of remakes that are remarkably inferior to the original.
Like the absolute best-case scenario here is the FES arc being added as DLC (which absolutely will not happen), and barring that we *might* get a fully complete edition when this remake is remastered for the PS6 in 10 years. |

I can hope....i did enjoy how they did the FEM MC social links and all the playable characters had one. would rather have the Male MC have a link with Junpei over Kenji tbh
