Marvy Jack is producing the anime.

I can only imagine how quality this anime is going to end up being.

What did they do?

Wait, you mean they were behind the Junji Ito anime trainwreck?

That, and also they were the studio subcontracted to do the infamous last two seasons of Seven Deadly Sins

Maybe they can improve this time.

Oooh! I can't wait to watch this! I remember having to watch the first Onmyoji movie for a college class once, and one of my favorite anime of all time has a similar premise. Plus, it's great to see Soubi Yamamoto back in action! She just seemed to disappear after a while and I always wondered what happened to her. Super looking forward to this! Very Happy

Studio doesn't inspire confidence, but it could be interesting.

Just found out that this is based on a finished, award winning seinen manga by the creator of the Summit of the Gods and Kurozuka... my interest has skyrocketed now Laughing

Trepidatious about the anime, but this makes me want to check out the novels and the manga (which, judging by the covers, has way more appealing art).

While Soubi Yamamoto isn't exactly known for fluid animation. She's one of those director who knows how to make glorified power point looks nice. So there isn't much room for the studio to ruin it as long as they give the director full freedom. Just don't expect much animation.

I somehow completely missed that she was the director, Meganebu and the Kono Danshi series looked really good for how limited they were in animation so that actually makes me far more interested
