Day 1 purchase for me!
Really hope this game is a start of a current gen franchise. Didn't like how disjointed the previous 3 games felt. Maybe Valkyria Revolution could act as a 'reboot' of sorts. |

I don't think there is much of a chance for that. VC had amazing visuals and unique gameplay. It still got buried by other releases and largely flew under the radar. This game has sub par visuals (they are made for the Vita after all) and dime-a-dozen action rpg gameplay. This game isn't going to do much here outside of established fans. Maybe it will do well in Japan... |

Sega sent the original game out to die with it's release date.Came out the same week as Gears of War 2,with Fallout 3 coming the week before. It did catch on with word of mouth later, but then Sega decided to move the series to the PSP,which was basically a dead system here by the time 2 was released. |

Lol, the protagonist's character design:
- Chuunibyou possessed/odd eye or hand. Check -Ridiculously large sword. Check so hard; it's bigger than Cloud's buster sword Does he have an alternate personality or berserker mode also? |

Heard that Revolution is not the turn-based RPG that Chronicles was--
Wait, what?? How does that work? (The original Chronicles was all about the turn-based strategy, and even then, I still haven't figured out the strategy to getting past the supertank.) |

I'm looking forward to this.
I played and enjoyed the 3 Valkyria Chronicles. |

You can have games release next to each other and both do alright. Sure, there is a serious likelihood of a hit in sales doing that, but not to the point something would go from success to obscurity. Sega just didn't adequately advertise / hype up VC. You're right about the PSP, but the Vita is dead here too which is the only version that isn't going to look massively sub par. PS4 version has some competitors that make it pretty clear how inferior the game is on that platform. I'd say maybe it will sell really well as a Vita game in Japan, but really that won't make much of a difference in getting a decent sequel since they would just follow the success with another Vita game. |

For the sake of disambiguation, can I please confirm that this title has nothing to do with Valkyrie Drive?

The game wasn't announced for Vita until nearly a year after it was announced for PS4. All of the demos (outside of the upcoming final one), hands on events, promotional footage and screenshots have exclusively been from the console version. Vita isn't the lead platform. PS4 is. The game looks "sub par" because it's a low budget title reusing the engine from Media Vision's PS3 Shining game. |

It's been too many years since I beat the game, but I seem to remember using lots of Lancers. Make sure they're backed up, too. And probably threw in some commands as well. I really need to replay it now that's on the PS4 and has trophies... On the PS3, I used to have S ranks in all the missions and had unlocked everyone's special skills. It's kind of sad how much I've forgotten about it now. :/ Make sure you train up your forces and keep them updated with the best equipment you can get. Also, keep your commanders out there to ensure the maximum number of moves per turn. |

I'd much rather have VC3 than this.

I beat the game ages ago but this might come in handy if I ever decide to play this map again. |
